We love treating kids and children’s dental care is an important part of our practice. Our approach is to provide a positive experience for children from their first visits to our office, so that they will not develop any fear of going to the dentist. We keep appointments short, and at the end of every visit, your child will receive a toy or sticker.

Friendly, knowledgeable dentist who is great with kids
Our doctors and staff love working with children will be able to care for most children’s dentistry within the walls of our practice. They are able to provide comprehensive services, including crowns and root canals for baby teeth should they be needed.
Our Staff is great with kids and loves treating them. They are friendly, gentle and will explain to your child in simple terms what is happening, such as that they are helping their teeth get healthy by “scrubbing the sugar bugs.” Every member of our staff realizes that each individual child is different. They will get to know your child and adapt their approach as necessary to make sure he or she is comfortable and at ease.
Our Gentle Services for Children
We provide comprehensive dental services for children. Our doctors approaches each procedure gently and will carefully explain to your child what is happening during treatment.
Gentle cleanings
A lifetime of dental health starts with preventative dental cleanings. We perform gentle cleanings for children, and we will also educate on your child on what he or she can do to contribute to his or her own oral health.
Digital X-rays
We will take digital X-rays of your child’s mouth. Digital X-rays use 90% less radiation than traditional X-rays, which is better for his or her overall health.
Fluoride treatment
We can provide fluoride treatments if desired.
Tooth-colored, metal-free fillings
If a filling is needed, we will use metal-free, tooth-colored material that is not visible in the mouth and has no risk of leaching mercury.
Baby crowns and root canals
Baby teeth sometimes get decayed or damaged to such an extent that they can’t be repaired with a regular filling. Rather than extracting these teeth, it is important to save them if possible. Baby teeth play an important role in guiding permanent teeth to erupt in their correct positions. If baby teeth are missing, surrounding teeth may shift and adult teeth may try to come up in wrong places, which can lead to significant complications later.
Dr. Bartlett provides crowns and root canals on baby teeth when necessary. She can examine your child and let you know what she recommends for his or her particular situation. She will make sure that any treatment that is done is as conservative and minimally invasive as possible.
